Systems Development

Systems development includes; vehicle power plants, vehicle control systems, science instrument systems, data retrieval systems.

Data Systems for near real-time data recovery from on-board instruments. Goto VIFIS on TERN Data Systems page and MagPlane Data System for more detailed desciptions of components.

Vehicle power plants currently in use include electric motors (single or twin) and gasoline powered glow engines.

Autopilots and piloted remote control systems are used for flight operations.

On-board storage systems, as well as, data downlink systems are used for both remote sensing and in-situ measurements.
